Gloria Wong-Padoongpatt, Ph.D.

I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. I received my B.S. in Psychology from the University of California, San Diego and my Ph.D. in Social/Personality Psychology from the University of California, Davis.

Research Interests: My primary line of research examines the stressful effects of microaggressions, a form of subtle discrimination. I investigate the impact, mechanisms, and individual variations in stress responses to these everyday slights and denigrations. I also conduct a secondary line of research that examines ethnic and gender differences in risk-factors for addictions, mainly gambling addiction.
